Over the weekend I made some body scrubs. Don't get me wrong I like store bought scrubs but I just wanted to see if homemade is the same and I really liked the final product. It's just like I bought it. The plus side to making my own is that its customized and it lasts for a few months. I started off by following this tutorial from Prudent Baby but mixed it up a little. In my scrubs I used sugar, sugar in the raw, Johnson's baby oil with aloe vera & vitamin E, and added some Eucalyptus and Spearmint message oil (the essential oils were a little to strong). You should try it out. It leaves your skin smooth and soft.
Over the weekend I made Red Velvet cupcakes from scratch for Jerry's Moms Birthday, made some sugar scrub, started a new granny square blanket, and bought some amazing cookies from the Girl Scouts. What did you do this past weekend?
I love elephants and I wanted a new desktop background so Jerry modeled this lil vintage guy in 3D Max. It was one of my Valentines presents and I love it. He also said I could share it so if you would like this image for your desktop background you can download it here. I hope your having a great weekend!
I was searching through Etsy and found some really adorable things in pink. I'm not a huge fan of pink but its close to Valentines so I'm in the spirit. Plus I can't wait for it:)
This weekend was to much fun. I got some things ready for Valentines, painted, crocheted, and purchased a Screen Printing kit. YAY!!! Here are a few pics....
This is a little craft I did for Project Restyle and I wanted to share it with you. All you need is some lace, canvas or wood, a few spray paint colors, and spray adhesive.
First paint your canvas any color you want then cut a piece of lace to fit the work area. Spray the back of the lace lightly with spray adhesive and adhere it to the canvas.
Next take a different color spray paint and layer a coat onto the canvas. Wait for it to dry and slowly peel the lace away....
Last night Tori and I had a craft night. She worked on a project for her Doctor Who swap and I tried a few new things. First I bought some flocking powder and covered one of my blind box Mickey's that I wasn't to thrilled about. It was a experiment and turned out beautifully.
I can't wait to make a glitter Micky next:) Second I made a little canvas craft which I will post a tutorial for but here is a sneak peak.
Third I crocheted some squares for a pillow I'm making...
I'm not a huge fan of Valentines Day but this year its gonna change. I have a few plans and I can't wait. I was searching through etsy to find some supplies/more ideas and came across these.
