Projects 2

Here are a few more projects I have been working on lately. I started another blanket using this pattern a few weeks ago. The pattern makes super big square blocks around 8"x8". A few down and may more to go...

I joined the friendship bracelet swap over on Julie's blog so I have been making a few bracelets for my partner. This swap has been really fun:) I also have been sewing two purses for some friends up north and hopefully fingers crossed will be finished soon. Its my first time using a pattern so its been a step by step process. Lastly, I'm making some new items to add in my etsy shop:)

A while ago I was browsing Hazel's blog over at Two Weas In A Pod and saw this post about some recipe boxes she did for Christmas. I instantly asked her if she would do a personal swap and she agreed. I was super ecstatic. So I made her a owl and a pouch and she made me this recipe box.

I absolutely love it. Its super big so I can put all the family recipes in it:) She also sent me a beautiful necklace:)

I participated in the Artichoke Designs handmade craft swap and I wanted to post the things I made my partner since she received her package. My partner was Jen over at StickyBlog. She listed a few colors she liked + sci-fi so I made her a granny square blanket and a Star Trek art piece. I'm so glad she liked them.

Holy Moly!

I'm participating in the Artichoke Designs handmade craft swap and I received my partners package yesterday. My partner was the super talented Julie at Gleeful Things and she made me the most amazing owl plushie ever and she used her own pattern. I love it. Thank you again Julie:)

I still have a few more finishing touches to add before I can send out my partners goodies:) But I will keep you posted.

Hooked!

I'm addicted to crocheting and I can't stop. I just finished another blanket for a Christmas present and I'm half way done with another. I joined a couple swaps so I have a few squares to create for that and a special gift for a dear friend.


Also I went to starbucks today and they have Peppermint Mocha!!! It was perfect since it has been really chilly here.

Amigurumi Time

I made another owl for The Great Owl Crochet Along. I used sport yarn this time and the owl turned out to be way smaller than the first. I also made some modifications but I'm very pleased with the way it turned out.

Crochet-Along

I finally finished one of my owls for The Great Owl Crochet-Along hosted by Karla over at The Itsy Bitsy Spider. It was really fun to crochet this lil guy.

But it took me a couple attempts because I originally purchased wool yarn and found it didn't work the way I wanted it to so I switched over to acrylic and TADA!

Worth The Wait

I received my granny squares from the The Great Granny Square Swap and I love them all. All the girls did a wonderful job making them. Although I'm a little puzzled to what I should make with them. Karla from The Itsy Bitsy Spider made a cute little tote out of few squares. I'm thinking maybe I should make a blanket or pillow. Do you have any suggestions?

Granny Swap

I finally finished crocheting the 21 granny squares for 'The Great Granny Square Swap' hosted by Amber and I can't wait to send them off. I'm quite a beginner to the whole crocheting thing so this was an awesome experience to learn a little more......

..... and I hope everyone likes them!
